Operating System Not Found!!

The other night I took my computer out of sleep mode and it was making a funny noise.  I thought oh I forgot to eject the disk from the software for my new small digital camera.  I ejected the disk and the screen goes BLACK!  I freaked, then any key I hit resulted in the following message.....OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND!  I had to force myself not the immediately bust into tears.  There were at least 3 if not 6 months of pictures that I had not yet up loaded to http://www.snapfish.com/  or backed up onto my external hard drive.  I prayed please let the files be recoverable.  Thanks to my DH and a nephew they just put a new operating system on the computer and I am back in business.  YEA!! Those were 3 long days without my computer.  Needless to say I am busy backing up all my pics and making hard copies of them too.

Kids and Dogs!

The dogs are so patient with the kids!
I love my boys with all that I am and they try my patience sometimes, but they sure make me laugh and smile just as much and that out weighs all the times I feel like I just can't take another mess, etc.  We got two beagle puppies for Jacob's 5th birthday and they also try my patience and make me laugh.  Thought I would share some photos with you all today.
Attack of the little brother!
Hide and seek in the cabinet.
Jacob has recently started getting in Noah's crib to play and sleep together!  What sweet angels.
Two cute pups!
Closeness!

Warning!

If you have kids beware.....they can get into the strangest trouble very quickly, even at a young age!  While sitting in the living room with Jacob, my 5 year old, I hear an odd noise from the kitchen.  (Our kitchen is right off of the living room) It sounded like Noah was getting into the pots and pans, a favorite game of his, and I start to get up to check when I hear a big crash and Noah crying.  In the kitchen the stove is on the floor in a million pieces!
I can only thank God that he was not hurt in all this.  I can only guess that he must have opened the door (this is probably the noise I heard) and climbed on the door and the oven tipped possibly knocking him off and over.  Again I can just thank God for keeping my baby safe.  The humor in all of this is you hear stories like this and wonder where are the parents, are the not watching or paying attention to their kid?!?  This all happened in a matter of seconds, a minute or two at most and I was there the entire time, scary!  Guess I will be getting a new oven, wonder if I can replace the old, broken dishwasher at the same time?

I feel like a kid!

We we just returned from a weekend in Florida and we went to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday.

Jacob collects the pennies that you stamp in the pressing machine and I came prepared with loads of quarters and pennies.  Fourteen pennies were stamped into various Disney creations, he was thrilled.

Of course when we went to Frontierland we had to partake of one of those delicious smoked turkey legs.

We stayed until after the amazing fireworks show.  Even Noah, our 20 month old kept saying "Wow!'
We all had a wonderful time and it made me feel just like a kid again, Disney really is a place where dreams can come true!

I got picked.....Bead Soup Blog Party!!

After being out of town for  the weekend I come home and of course there is so much to do, laundry, getting back into the routine, checking emails etc.  After a load of laundry and various other house keeping duties I decided I wanted to go to lunch with my Sister.  Lunch turned into a trip to Michaels and waiting with her at the Vet's office.  While at the vet she is telling me some stuff about work and I am listening but also checking emails on my phone.  I see an email with the subject line Bead Soup Blog party, I was so excited I totally cut my Sister off and was going crazy, and at this point I had not even opened the email to see what it said.  I was nervous because I wanted so badly to be selected.   I open the email and ......I was choosen by the randomizer to participate in the Bead Soup Blog Party! http://lorianderson-beadsoupblogparty.blogspot.com/

please send me some time!

Well it is the New Year and only 9 days in and I already feel the need for a vacation. Oh some place tropical would be lovely.  A nice balcony on a cruise ship sounds divine.  My goals for this year are to try and simplify things in my life.  I really want to declutter and get rid of things we really don't need.  My jewelry making goals are to work more with metals and mixed media, and to really dive into polymer clay.  I am going to make a big effort to blog about how I am doing with my goals for 2012.  I wish all of you a wonderful and productive Year, may all of you achieve your goals for this year.
